The Wheaton Family
I do not have many details concerning the early generations of the Wheaton family. The siblings of my family line are not all presented at this time, but will be added in the future.
The information is accurate, though, and presented here with as much detail as I currently have. Variants include - Wheton, Wheadon and Whedon.
Descendants of Robert Wheaton
Generation No. 1
1. ROBERT WHEATON was born about 1605 in Swansea, Wales and died about 1695 in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. He arrived in the colonies very early, probably in the 1630's, and married ALICE BOWEN around 1639 in Salem, Massachussets. She was the daughter of RICHARD BOWEN, born about 1610.

i. JOSEPH WHEATON born about 1640.
ii. SAMUEL WHEATON born about 1641.
iii. JEREMIAH WHEATON born about 1643.
iv. CHRISTOPHER WHEATON born about 1644.
v. OBADIAH WHEATON born 1647.
vi. JOHN WHEATON born 20 April 1650.
vii. BETHIA WHEATON born 20 May 1652.
viii. HANNAH WHEATON born 15 September 1654.
ix. MARY WHEATON born 4 November 1656.
2. x. EPHRIAM WHEATON born 20 October 1659 in Rehoboth (later Swansea), Massachussets.
xi. BENJAMIN WHEATON born February 1660/61.

2. EPHRIAM WHEATON was born 20 October 1659 and died 26 April 1734 in Swansea, Massachussets. He married MARY MASON on 1 August 1676 in Swansea, Massachussets. She was the daughter of SAMPSON MASON and MARY BUTTERWORTH, born 7 February 1659/60 in Rehoboth.

3. JAMES WHEATON was born 7 October 1685 and died before 22 January 1741/42 in Swansea, Massachussets. His wife's name was MARY.

4. i. JAMES WHEATON born 11 December 1717, Swansea, Massachussets.
Generation No. 4
4. JAMES WHEATON was born 11 December 1717 and died 8 July 1778 in Swansea, Massachussets. He married SARAH about 1742. She died 29 June 1778 in Swansea.

5. JAMES WHEATON was born 14 March 1747/48 in Swansea, Massachussets and died 21 January 1834 in Pomfret, Windham Co., Connecticutt. He married SARAH CHILDS 20 January 1771 in Roxbury, Massachussets. She was the daughter of EDWARD CHILDS and SARAH, born 19 May 1746 in Roxbury, Massachussets and died 21 November 1809 in Pomfret, Windham Co., Connecticutt.

6. CHILDS WHEATON was born about 1770 in Pomfret, Windham Co., Connecticutt, and died in Jamaica, Windham Co., Vermont. He married CLOE LINDLEY 24 November 1798 in Pomfret. She was born about 1780 in Windham Co., Connecticutt, and died in Jamaica, Windham Co., Vermont.
